Danny Bonaduce & Amy Railsback
Danny Bonaduce married his former fan, Amy Railsback—who is now his manager—in Maui right before Thanksgiving. Actually, I should re-phrase that. He found out he was marrying her. She planned the wedding. He only knew about it because a wedding planner from the hotel called to ask Amy some questions. When he found out about the nuptials, he agreed and even purchased skull and cross bones rings for the occasion. Awwww. The two met at Starbucks three years ago when Railsback, who was a substitute teacher at the time, complimented him on his reality show “Breaking Bonaduce.” Well, if she saw the show then she knew what she was getting into. I’m hoping this marriage goes better than his first two.
Kelly Preston & John Travolta
Kelly Preston always knew John Travolta was her destiny. She was a fan of his before they ever met. “I did have sort of a flash. I came out of a film, saw the poster for ‘Grease’ and I knew I’d be with him. I just knew. I was about 16 years old. I really knew it and it turned into, ‘I’m going to marry that man,’ and so he likes to tease me that I walked out and said, ‘I’m going to marry that man,’ and then did, ultimately,’” she explained. I also thought Eddie Vedder was going to be my husband when I was 16. I’m still waiting for that to happen.
Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise
Maybe this “knowing you are destined to marry someone” is a Scientology thing, because Katie Holmes had a similar experience with Tom Cruise. “When ‘Top Gun’ came out, my sisters were like, ‘Oh, my God, Top Gun! Tom Cruise!’ And I very confidently said, ‘I’m going to marry him one day.’ It wasn’t like, ‘How do I get to Tom Cruise?’ It was just: I think I’m going to marry him. Why not? He’ll like me. I’m fun,” she told Glamour. What Xenu ordains, let no man tear asunder. Or her marriage contract told her to say that.
Sandra Bullock & Jesse James
Believe it or not, Sandra Bullock was a fan of Jesse James before they were married. The two met when she took her 10-year-old godson on a fan tour of the set of “Monster Garage.” I bet she wishes she never took that tour.
Kayte Walsh & Kelsey Grammer
Kayte Walsh, the young stewardess who stole Kelsey Grammer‘s heart from his wife Camille, was from a family full of"Cheers” and “Frasier” fans. I’m wondering how big of fans the family is of the impending shotgun wedding.
Ruben Studdard & Zuri McCants
“American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard met his wife Zuri McCants at a Wal-Mart in Atlanta. He was signing her CD. Go, “Velvet Teddy Bear!”
Susie Sprague & Corey Feldman
Susie Sprague once said, “I knew I would marry Corey [Feldman] ever since I saw ‘Stand By Me.’” Raise your hand if you had a crush on one of the boys in “Stand By Me.” Oh ... all of us. I wonder if she also knew she would file for divorce seven years later.
Priscilla & Elvis Presley
Priscilla Presley was only 14 years old when she asked a friend of the family who knew Elvis to introduce her. The rest is history.
